Antoun Civil was contracted by Health Infrastructure to build a new hospital car park and slip lane on Appin Road, Campbelltown.
Key outcomes of the project involved the locating and protecting of existing underground services such as gas, water and drainage services, the demolition of existing pavements and structures and clearing and grubbing of existing trees and vegetation.
Appin Road is an operational state road and the construction of a new slip lane leading into the hospital required coordination with Roads and Maritime (RMS) throughout the project. A detailed traffic management plan was presented prior to commencement of work with traffic control engaged throughout the project with the safety of the construction team, hospital workers and the general public a major priority.
Close communication and coordination of subcontractors, service providers and the client was critical in ensuring the effective completion of this project, which was completed with new line-marking for the slip lane and parking bays, plus traffic signage and landscaping and revegetation complete to specifications.
